Requirements

The Kaduna State Government Scholarship has specific requirements that candidates must fulfill to be eligible for consideration:

For Undergraduate Scholarship Candidates:

1. Residency: Candidates must be indigenous to Kaduna State.
2. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed secondary school education and hold either WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE certificates with a minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects, including Mathematics and English, achieved in not more than two sittings.
3. Timeframe: SSCE results must not be earlier than 2018.
4. Academic Performance: Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic performance, with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale.

For Postgraduate Students:

1. Academic Performance: Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale or 3.5 for those using the 4.0 scale.
2. Master’s Degree: Candidates with a master’s degree must have attained at least a second class lower or a CGPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or 3.0 on a 5.0 scale.
3. Parental Tax Certification: Candidates’ parents must possess verified tax certificates. Applicants whose parents are deceased must provide a death certificate, which may substitute for a tax payment certificate.
